Reverend Raymond E. Lambert

Retired Minister

Raymond E. Lambert, a native of Portland, Oregon, has lived in Southern California since 1968. He is the youngest of three sons born to Frank and Dulah Lambert. A graduate of what is now Northwest Christian University, he received his seminary degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University.

Reverend Mark Pettis

Senior Minister

Mark Pettis began his ministry at Manhattan Beach Community Church on August 15, 2013. Prior to joining us he served as the Senior Minister of the First Congregational Church of Christ, Moorhead. MN. Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors for the South Coast Interfaith Council, and Progressive Christians Uniting.

Reverend Audrey Turner

The Rev. Audrey Turner, who has been hired as the transitional Associate Minister, is an experienced Intentional Interim Minister, who has also done hospice chaplaincy and nonprofit leadership.

Patricia Edwards

Director of Music

Pat directs the Adult Choir and three children’s choirs at MBCC and has done so for over 30 years. She holds a BA in Music from Pomona College, with graduate work at UCLA. She has taught both vocal and instrumental music in the Los Angeles and Manhattan Beach schools and has directed a number of musical stage productions at MBCC for both adults and children.

Hoeger

Cynthia “Wally” Hoeger

Director of Christian Education

Wally comes to Manhattan Beach Community Church from First Congregational Church in Long Beach, where she served for six years as Director of Children and Youth Ministries. She also has worked in fundraising and staff training for the YMCA in Orange County and with the Downtown Association of Youth Services in Long Beach to develop and oversee a summer day camp program for at-risk teenage girls.
