Dr. Michael DeSanctis (recently retired professor of Fine Arts from Gannon University, Erie, Pa.) will be offering his final presentation to us on October 23, entitled, “A Proper Seat for Emmanuel: Personal Reflections on the History and Meaning of the Christmas Creche (Nativity Scene).” This presentation will touch upon the presenter’s own contribution to the art of the church by way of his activities as a designer/fabricator of original, three-dimensional, large scale Nativity scenes.
