“The Uniqueness of the Gospel of John” in the eyes of Bishop John Selby Spong will be our topic (recording) this Memorial Weekend Sunday, May 29. In his early clergical years, Bishop Spong thought poorly of the Gospel of John and tended to ignore this gospel. Then he discovered its deep Jewish roots, filling the vacuum created by the absence of deep “Jewishness” in the other three gospels. Join us in learning about Bishop Spong’s change in perspective and his subsequent deep appreciation for this Gospel.  We will begin at 8:30 AM in the Assembly Hall or online at http://zoom.us/j/3103723898 All are welcome.
